Very Rev.  Prof.  Marteylaunches book for spiritual growth

The immediate past moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG), Very Rev. Professor Emmanuel Martey, will launch a special book titled: Light on Narrow Way on Thursday November 16 in Accra.

The 419 page – book containing 60 chapters is a collection of spirit – filled homilies that will not only edify, instruct, empower but also lead more effective and victorious Christian life on earth.

Asked why he chose the title: Light on Narrow Way, Very Rev. Martey said every true and genuine proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ directs and guides people through the small gate and the narrow way which leads to external life.

The narrow way, according to the former moderator, is the way of life, but the broad way is the way of death and destruction.

Very Rev. Prof. Martey, who is a professor in Systematic Theology, believes that his book, written during his six years stint as a moderator, edifies discourses for spiritual growth.

“It also provides insightful knowledge for pastors, catechists, evangelists, theological students, lay preachers and all Christians.

The chairman of the planning committee, Mr. GBK Owusu, said the launch will take place at the Osu Ebenezer Presbyterian Church Hall at 4pm.

He stated that Rev. Prof. E. AdowObeng, Vice Chancellor of the Presbyterian University College, Abetifi – Kwahu, will review the book and Nana KwasiGyanAppenteng, Chairman of the National Media Commission, will deliver the keynote address.
