The University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) has commissioned one of the biggest libraries in Ghana in honour of its immediate past Vice Chancellor, Prof. Joshua Alabi in Accra.
The library on UPSA campus has about 1,500 seating capacity with about 500 seats in the adjoining halls.
The award was one of many yet to come to Prof. Alabi due to his sterling performance that led to the transformation of the institute’s infrastructure and catapult to university status.
In attendance were Professor Abednego Feehi Okoe Amartey, UPSA new Vice Chancellor, lecturers, people in academia, students leadership and all concerned throng to witness the short ceremony on UPSA campus over the weekend.
Some argued that the Prof. Alabi Library is a new standard library that in a way beats the Balme Library of the University of Ghana as the biggest in West Africa.
