Nana Addo Support faceless Petitioners against EC Boss – Brogya Grenfi

Mr Brogya Grenfi, Ashanti Regional Youth Organizer of the National Democratic Congress ( NDC) has alleged that President Akufo-Addo supported the faceless petitioners against Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Mrs. Charlotte Osei.
In an interview with therepublicnewsonline.com/GhanaNewsOnline.com, Brogya further alleged that when the petitioners, submitted their petition, Nana Addo, after satisfied with the content begged that they come to sign their petition in the Flag-Staff-House to strengthen it against Mrs. Charlotte Osei.
He lamented that following the total dislike for the EC Chairperson, the Committee was forced to go outside the frivolous 27 allegations to forced Madam Charlotte out, after she sailed through.
The Information to this Portal indicates that Ghanaians are yet to know who the petitioners were after they leveled about 27 allegations against the EC Boss and two others.
The EC Chair, together with her two deputies, Alhaji Amadu Sulley and Madam Georgina Opoku Amankwah, were relieved from their posts following certain findings of a Committee set up by the Chief Justice to probe petitions of corruption and abuse of office against them.
The Kumasi Based Youth Activist further said he would not be surprised if President Akufo-Addo influenced the outcome of his Couse, Chief Justice (CJ) Sophia Akuffo’s Committee, hence, the promotion of the two members of the Committee, Justices to the Supreme Court to persue further his government agenda.
This he alleged the promotion was to thank the two Justices for the expected Committee’s outcome targeted at the removal of Mrs. Osei, EC Chairperson. He also alleged the removal of woman started the very day she was appointed.
Speaking at the press conference organised by Coalition for Social Justice (CSJ) in Accra calling on President Akufo-Addo to reverse his dismissal decision, Brogya Gyemfi said they would embark on series of demostration across the country to register their displeasure.
According to the Coalition for Social Justice (CSJ), the dismissal of the EC Boss, Madam Charlotte Osei, by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is an “utter disgust” and an affront to the rule of law.
The CSJ Convener, Sammy Gyemfi posited that “we believe this decision is a travesty of justice and an attack on our fledging and must therefore be resisted by all progress forces”.
According the CJ Committee findings, the former EC Chairperson was culpable of breaching procurement laws in the award of a contract to Dream Oval and engaging the legal services of law firm, Sory @law, amongst other things.
