The Mankranso Forestry Commission officials have been attacked by illegal farmers who have sneaked into the Desiri Forest to cultivate cocoa, among other crops, without authorization.

Two motor bikes and a tricycle, popularly known as ‘Aboboyaa’ were set ablaze by the citizens of Asamangma community, who besieged the forest entrance at the time Mankranso Forestry Commission officials stormed the Desiri forest and started demolishing their farm inputs, including cocoa and other crops.
The aggrieved illegal farmers, after burning their motor bikes, and the tricycle, also assaulted the Forestry Commission officers.
