The Management and Staff of Global FM last Tuesday, May 16, made donations to the Maternity Department of the Ho Municipal Hospital.
The donation forms part of the organization’s mission of assisting to improve the quality of healthcare services in the Ho Municipality and in Ghana at large.
The items, valued at GHȼ1,000, included detergents, baby and adult diapers, sanitary pads, assorted toiletries, etc.
The Programmes Manager of Global FM, Mr. Egypt Kobla Kudoto, hinted that the donation was to aid effective healthcare delivery, especially in the Maternity Department of the hospital, and is in commemoration of the Mothers’ Day celebrations.
“This is an initiative put together by our mother, Mrs. Dzifa Aku Ativor, and the management of Global 105.1 FM to support the society that we operate in by way of our corporate social responsibility. So we felt once there was a programme for Mothers’ Day, let us celebrate our mothers here at the Municipal Hospital. Therefore we the staff of Global 105.1 FM are basically here to make this presentation to the hospital for that purpose,” he said.
“We had a list from your outfit, detailing what you need most to help you run your facility, and so our items largely conform to that list. So I guess the leadership here will decide how best to get it distributed because there are some items that are strictly for kids and some that are for mothers,” he added.
Receiving the items on behalf of the hospital, Mrs. Beatrice Abiwu, the Matron, expressed her profound gratitude to Global FM for opting for the Municipal Hospital as their preferred place for such a donation.
“We thank you for choosing, among all the hospitals, the Ho Municipal Hospital; we are very grateful. And we hope to put into good use what you have brought us today. Thank you very much,” she said.
Other health workers who witnessed the brief ceremony also expressed their gratitude to Global FM for the gesture.
Global 105.1 FM, truly “Exceeding the Limit.”
