The military in the process of dispersing a crowd who had gathered to listen to Noah after the meeting arrested a man who was wielding a pocket knife, bringing to three the total number of person’s arrested on the day.
The manner in which some of the military men handled the person they arrested angered the crowd, who attempted to rush on the military checkpoint (barricade).
Prior to the disturbances, residents were going about their regular business under the supervision of a heavy police and military presence.
Chief Inspector Kwesi Fori, the commanding officer of the police on the scene told the Graphic Online that calm has been restored after several checkpoints were mounted throughout the community.
