Bugri Naabu Needs Spiritual Cleansing

Outspoken Central Regional Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Bernard Allotey Jacobs, has called for intercessory prayers for the Northern Regional chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Daniel Bugri Naabu.

According Mr. Jacobs, Bugri Naabu is gaining notoriety for launching vitriolic attacks on anyone he sees as a threat and for that matter he needs deliverance to cure his verbal diarrhoea.

The controversial Northern Regional NPP Chairman made the headlines for the wrong reasons, after he alleged that Mr. Rockson Bukari, Upper East Regional Minister, and Gender Minister Otiko Afisa Djaba were neck-deep in the acid attack and murder of former Upper East Regional chairman of the NPP, Adams Mahama, in 2015.

Even though the matter is still pending in court with the accused being prosecuted, Naabu suggested he had information linking both the Upper East Regional Minister and the Gender Minister to the murder.

His accusation was a rebuttal to a claim by Otiko Djaba that he had taken monies, goats and cows from party members with a promise to offer appointments in the School Feeding Programme.

He has since vowed to sue the Gender Minister in court for defamation.

But Allotey Jacobs, on Adom Fm yesterday, said the NPP Northern Regional chairman is a thorn in the flesh of President Akufo-Addo and therefore needs prayers or else something terrible may happen.

“Naabu in Ga means ‘mouth,’ so Bugri Naabu needs deliverance to control his mouth,” he said on Adom FM’s morning show ‘Dwaso Nsem.’

Nonetheless, Allotey Jacobs said, the corruption revelation in NPP has exposed their lies and hypocrisy, arguing that, the ruling party has spent its time accusing the NDC of corruption, while shielding theirs.

He intimated that when NDC was urging Ghanaians not to make mistake, they did not listen and voted for a party that glorifies corruption.
