The chief of Agric–Nzemahene Nana Nkansah Ayeboago I, a businessman, has donated 1,000 bags of cement toward the construction of an ultra-modern regional party office for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), which was initiated by Mr. Bernard Antwi Boasiako, also known as Dr. Chairman Wontumi, the incumbent regional chairman.
Nana Boadu, who is known for his philanthropic support, is a member of the eminent personalities appointed as advisors to the committee to oversee the construction of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) office.
Nana Boadu said that, “as chiefs we don’t do partisan politics but we are always interested in the development of our people and things that can help promote democracy, as well as beautification of the Kumasi Metropolis hence my decision to accept to be part of the advisors to the committee.”
“I am interested in the advancement of democracy, I pledged to support the project with 1,000 bags of cement for the start and whenever you call on me for any support to see to the completion of the project , I would be ready to do so,” he noted.
He charged other eminent personalities, Members of Parliament (MPs) and the rank and file of NPP to support the regional chairman’s vision to get them a an ultra modern regional party office.
The Nzemahene also admonished Ghanaians not to politicize his gesture and decision to give advice to the committee, but rather see it as one of the ways of promotion of democratic dispensation.
