As part of its corporate drive to support the well-being of customers and the general public, amidst the outbreak of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), Water Banc Company Limited, a Mineral Water producing company in Accra, is embarking on livelihood support to all police stations within its jurisdictions.
The Teshie based water producing company would supply food and water to some District Police Commands and their stations including Nungua, Teshie, Manet, Teshies-Rasta and the Kpehe Divisional Commands.
A statement from the company signed by it’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Hon. Emmanuel Nii Ashie-Moore indicated that the support to the police as part of its corporate social responsibility.
He said the police that is on duty day and night during the lockdown period as part of measures to help contain and stop the spread of COVID-19 must be of concern to every Ghanaian and company.
The statement said food would be provided to all police from the above-mentioned police stations for both lunch and supper to strengthen them to provide maximum security protection to citizens.
Further, the company pledged to continue with the support should the President, Nana Akufo Addo, upon advice from the health experts extend the lockdown period.
According to the Chief Executive, the company find it dutiful to keep Ghanaians and for that matter the police healthy and to help fight the coronavirus pandemic.
He noted that it is critical that everyone commits to measures put in place to avoid becoming infected, especially as the number of cases in the country rises.
The country has so far recorded 214 confirmed cases, three dead and about eight getting recovered, according to the Ministry of Health.
