As part, his social intervention policies, the Member of Parliament for Ellembele, Hon Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah, has taken the awareness creation of the Coronavirus into his constituency to fight the pandemic that has so far claimed more than 11,000 lives and sickened 260,000 people globally.
Mr Buah visited Lorry stations, markets community centres and other public places to create awareness and sensitise residents on the need to take precautionary measures.
He seized the opportunity to distribute hand sanitizers and disinfectants, liquid soap and surgical masks for the constituents.
He encouraged them to constantly wash their hands with soap under clean running water to minimise the risk of getting infected with the deadly Corona-virus.
The virus, the Ellembele lawmaker said does not know boundaries, whether you are black or white, NDC or NPP, Ghanaian or non-Ghanaian.
He further encouraged the constituents to take the guidelines by the World Health Organisation (WHO), the Ghana Ministry of Health and the Ghana Health Services serious.
The COVID-19 which first broke out in Wuhan China and spread out the world has claimed thousands of lives and dozens of people infected still in hospitals and other treatment centres.
Though the virus originated in China, Italy is the most affected country across the world. The number of recorded deaths there recently overtook those in China.
Italy initial reported 651 coronavirus deaths and saw its toll for the past month reach 5,476, the highest in the world.
