Deputy Minority Leader of Parliament, Hon. Dr James Klutse Avedzi, has called on Ghanaians, especially members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to make the party march to victory in the 2020 general elections, their new resolution.
According to him, NDC as a national party has a duty to rescue Ghanaians from the economic hardship inflicted upon by the Akufo Addo, led government.
Dr Avedzi, who is the Member of Parliament for Ketu North, made this comment in a Christmas message to his Constituents and Ghanaians in parliament last Monday.
He told THE REPUBLIC, 2020 is a year that every Ghanaian who has the development of Ghana at heart must make a solemn promise to rescue the nation from further sinking into the abyss of hopelessness, hardship and insecurity, among others.
“As we celebrate Christmas and the new year, we must remember the nation in our prayers.”
“As Ghanaians, especially members of the NDC, we must add NDC victory agenda in our new year resolutions. We must see the year 2020, as a year of rescue mission, a year to redeem this country from sinking further. We must work to save this country from the hands of the supper incompetent Akufo Addo and his bloated government, ” Dr Avedzi said.
The Deputy Minority Leader who is also the Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee of Parliament (PAC) said only NDC could make good use of the resources to develop the country, hence the need for Ghanaians to return the party to power in 2020.
While wishing his constituents and the entire people of Volta region, Merry Christmas and a prosperous new year, Mr Avedzi reiterated the call on all NDC party members to use the Yuletide period to mobilise Ghanaians to help rescue the nation.
He further urged his constituents and Ghanaians as a whole to celebrate the festive in moderation to avoid any incident.
Christmas and the New year, he said are seasons of families re-union, meeting with relatives and friends but such celebration must be done with moderation.
The Ketu North lawmaker also charged drivers to observe roads and traffic regulation to avoid avoidable accidents before, during and after the yuletide.
He reiterated the need for Ghanaians to join hands with the NDC party ahead of the 2020 general elections to rescue the country from the hands of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) from total collapse.
