Member of Parliament(MP) for Krachi West, Hon. Helen Adjoa Ntoso, has fired at Rev. Owusu Bempah, stating that he would only be allowed to shake hand with Former President John Mahama in 2020.
According to her, the self acclaimed Prophet has prophesied in his 2019, new year message that, President Mahama will die through an Arrow pinch before end of 2019.
Hon Ntoso was reacting to news reports that, security details of former President had stopped Owusu Bempah from shaking hand with the former President at the Holy Ghost Revival Assemblies of God Church at South Odorkor on Sunday, December 1st.
Former President Mahama and Pastor Owusu Bempah of Glorious and Word Power Ministries International
were invited to grace the event.
Owusu Bempah, according to reports was in a rush to return to his church for the Sunday service and decided to meet and greet Mahama before taking off.
But security aide to the former President intercepted and seen pushing the self-styled man of God back as he picked his attempt.
Mahama, on the other hand, is seen trying to stop his aide to allow Owusu Bempah to have his way.
Nevertheless, Hon. Helen Ntoso who is a Reverend Minister with Mount Horeb Victorious Church International told THE REPUBLIC, “Rev.Owusu Bempah has time and time again insulted the former President and prophesied that , he (Mahama) will die in 2019.”
Quoting the Bible to buttress her reaction, the outspoken lawmaker said, ” the Bible says we should love our enemies but also advised in Mathew 7:15 that , we should beware of false prophets who come to you in Sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravening/ savage Wolves.” She interceded that the former president “shall not die (prematurely in 2019), but live, and declare the works of the LORD” (Psa 118:17) until his good old age according to God (Gen 15:15).
The Former Volta Regional Minister cautioned that since no one but only God knows ones intent, the best way to prevent the unforseen was to stop Owusu Bempah from shaking hands with former President Mahama.
She applauded the security aide to the former President for stopping Owusu Bempah, stressing that if the self styled man of God want to shake hand with the former President, he should wait until 2020.
The NDC MP urged the security detail of the former President to be vigilant as the known enemies outnumbered the known friends.
She also urged all NDC to work hard towards the 2020 general election to save Ghanaians from abject poverty and mismanagement of the economy.
