The Chief of Defense Staff of the Ga State, King Ayi Tunma, has urged President Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo to ignore calls by ‘self-acclaimed Ga Chiefs’ to install another Ga Mantse for the Ga State.
According to him, in an interview with The Republic in Accra, some Ga Chiefs who are not legitimate representatives of the Ga State always visit the President and appealing to him rather install new Ga Mantse, adding that, “they are imposters”.
He further alleged that those who Constitutes the current Ga Traditional Council are not rightful people and unfortunately they are calling on the President Akufo-Addo to give them Ga Mantse.
“surprisingly, these self-acclaimed Ga Chiefs went to appeal to the President recently to install Ga Mantse for the Ga State forgotten that the President has no powers to install any chief whatsoever here in the region”, fumes Nii Ayi Tumma.
King Nii Tumma, who posited could not bear the ‘shame’ that the current Traditional Council members brought to the people of Ga State, therefore, called for a committee to be set up to investigate the trust successor to the throne.
Angry Nii Ayi Tumma, on the sideline of the installation of new Asafo chiefs and Queens, indicated that all the chieftaincy problems in the Ga State always has some political interference and it’s denying the people of Ga State the unity they deserve.
“When the unity among the Ga State realizes it will suppress the hard work of some evil forces against the people of Ga-Dangbe for the needed unity that would lead to finding the true and legitimate Ga-Mantse”, he emphasised.
” the enemies of Ga State put their so-called Chiefs and members at the Traditional Council to benefit from the illegal goodies and royalties that are meant for the development of the Ga State”, Nii Tumma opined.
King Nii Ayi Tumma, Chief of Defense Staff of the Ga State, implored President Akufo-Addo not mind those who have been coming for him install new Ga Mantse them.
