The National Democratic Congress, NDC, an aspiring candidate for the Ayawaso West Worguon Constituency, Suzzy Afua Adoboe, has opined that the area is not a preserve for the NPP.
She indicated that the Ayawaso West Wuogon NDC is ready for the long-awaited change since the party cannot bear any longer the promises and the failures of President Akufo-Addo and his NPP over the years.
She said the time has come to stop the NPP following the self-inflicted defeat of the NDC in the constituency reiterated the seat is not a preserved for the NPP.
Madam Afua Adoboe said this in an interview with The Republic in Accra after she came out of a successful vetting process which grants her the chance to contest John Dumelo.
She also explains that her major priority would be to galvanise the strength of the people and unite the party at the Branch and Ward levels ti ensure the voting pattern increase.
Madam Afua Adoboe further pointed out that she has gone through all the mail that makes her stand tall of winning the primaries.
She added that she has gone through the mail for long so she understands how the party structures works which, therefore, when given the nod she can address the people’s concerns according to their demands.
One other area of concern to her was to also deliver a well-resourced coordinated strategic campaign for the NDC that would win the Parliamentary seat and win more votes for former President Mahama.
Touching on the violence that rocked La Bawalashie at the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency in Accra during the by-election, she said such acts of violence undermine Ghana’s democracy.
Madam Adobe said “is rather unfortunate that incident occurred in January. It was bad because if you look at Ayawaso West Wuogon, for that incident to occur is an insult to the people in the Constituency, and we are not going to allow that to happen anymore”.
“When it comes to violent, I think that is not a preserve for any person, we all can do that, but we want peace to prevail and so we will put our messages out there for the sake of peace; and we are also going to make sure that we put security measures to curtail or to counter any such incident, though I doubt if it will happen again”, She added.
