As part of the campaign strategies to shore up his chance to win the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary primaries, Alhaji Ibrahim Faila Fusseini has promised each ward in the Madina constituency a mini Bus for business.
According to the NDC parliamentary aspirant, the buses would be used to generate funds for the wards to help strengthen the NDC party at the grassroots in the constituency.
Alhaji Faila disclosed this to THE REPUBLIC after he had filed his nomination to contest the NDC primaries on Thursday, July 18, 2019, in Madina.
The buses he said would be used as intercity commercial buses to generate revenue for the ward members and for the party.
He added that the Buses would further help to reduce unemployment and ultimately transform the constituency as part of his development agenda should be elected.
Alhaji Faila is in the race with three other persons including Human Rights lawyer Francis Xavier Sosu, former National Youth Organizer, Sidii Abubakar Musah and one Hajia Rukayah.
Nevertheless, Failla said he stand chance of winning the primaries and subsequent take the seat back from Boniface Sadique Abubakar of the New Patriotic Party(NPP).
He said the experience and the development projects that he provided for the people of Madina as Assemblyman for Nkwatanang and a Presiding Member are enough if the NDC delegates want development MP.
He cited several development projects in education, health, water and sanitation, roads and other social intervention projects and programmes including provision of logistical supports to female head porters popularly known as “Kayaye” as some of his track records.
Alhaji Failla said, among the contender s, he is the only person who grew up among the people of Madina and therefore understands their needs and concerns better.
Marina he noted needed someone who has time and understanding of their plight, stressing that, haven lived with the people for years, he would not neglect them after winning the mandate.
He, therefore, urged the delegates to defy all intimidation, site buying and vile propaganda against him and endorse him at the August 24, primaries to lead the NDC in the constituency.
He vowed to work to take back the NDC seat from the NPP, adding that he is the only aspirant that Boniface and the NPP fear most going into 2020 general election.
He said if NDC wants to win the Madina seat back, then he is the suitable candidate to rescue the party and the people of Madina from total neglect by the NPP government.
