NDC Goes Paperless Dues Collection

The National Democratic Congress, NDC has unveiled an electronic system for collection of dues and donations to bring solution of the paper-free system.

According to the NDC General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, the Electronic Payment System (NEPS) could be a better operating system in which the use of paper documentation will reduce significantly or eliminated with the hope of saving costs.
The party hoped this move would also facilitate dues collection and a means of better recording keeping.

The General Secretary explained that party members and sympathizers could also search for www.ghanandc.com, and follow the instructions that would help in making payments or contributions easier.

To make the whole operations more accountable and transparent, the Regional Chairmen and Secretaries were invited to undergo training on how to use thee – payment system to collect and account for their dues without any difficulty.

Asiedu Nketia also indicated that the new system could be used by the party to disburse funds to the various constituencies.

He further stated that the NDC needs funds to facilitate its day-to-day activities, stressing that with enough proceeds from the electronic system of dues collection, the “exorbitant” charges for the party executives elections positions as well as presidential and parliamentary primaries to raise money could be curtailed.

In effect, both nomination and filing fees for the constituency, regional and national delegates conferences as well as primaries would be paid through the E- system.

The party believed the e-payment system would help in making administrative works smooth, fast and efficient.

Mr Aseidu Nketiah said with the financial strength, the party could curb some of its misunderstandings that normally arouse during the preparations towards various conferences of the party.

He, therefore, called on members to pay their dues regularly and timely to enable the party to implement its planned activities promptly and timely.
