Hon Nazar Toure Mahama, Member of Parliament for Ayawaso East Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, has vowed to use the resources at his disposal to equip the youth, especially the young ladies with professional skills to reduce unemployment.
According to him, as MP his duties is not only to articulates their concerns in parliament and make laws that would safeguard their interest, but also work to support them.
Hon Mahama made this known when some young ladies and beneficiaries of his scholarship programme called on him at his office in Nima last Saturday.
The young ladies numbering about eleven were granted scholarship through the MP Share of Common Fund to study at Nandle School of Hospitality in Accra.
They have visited the MP to express their appreciation for the opportunity given them to obtained professional skills and also pray for him to continue the same helping hand to others.
Hon Mahama who is popularly known as Mc Nazare noted that, he was glad the young ladies visited him to express their appreciation, pointing that many of the beneficiaries failed to do same when they had even gained more.
He assured to continue to offer to help hand to the needy and also support many of the youth to obtain former education.
Already the MP has instituted an annual distribution of examination writing materials including mathematical sets to candidates of Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), which he promised to continue to do every year.
Some of the young ladies who spoke to THE REPUBLIC after meeting with the MP said, his intervention would help improve their lives and their families as they have the opportunity to work or start on their own.
