Agnas Momo Calls for Equal Participation of Women in Politics

Mrs. Agnes NaaAgMO Lartey, a former Presiding Member (PM) for Ledzorkuku-Krowor Municipal Assembly (LeKMA) has commended Ghanaian women for their  sacrificial contribution  over the years to develop the country.
She encouraged women to participate actively in politics so they could contribute to the nation atio development.
She also called on women not to underrate themselves but rather take up challenging roles to bring out their best qualities. Naa Momo made the call when she interacted with the women’s wing of the Krowor Constituency of the NDC to celebrate the International Women’s Day at Nungua.
Last Friday March 8, 2019 marks the International Women’s Day celebration for all women in Ghana and the rest of the world for their immeasurable contribution to the development of Ghana; Including the social, economic, cultural and political development of the country.
he equal participation of women always yields better result; and put  women in the lead for better nation building, emphasised former LeKMA PM.
The International Women’s Day 2019 was celebrated on the theme; “Balance for Better”. The theme focuses on innovative ways in which gender advocates can advance affirmative action and the empowerment of women, particularly in the areas of social protection systems, access to public services and sustainable infrastructure.
Addressing the women, Naa Momo Lartey implored the women to forgive each other, especially going into the crutial  elections 2020, for the NDC to win smoothly. “I have forgive anybody who might have offended me and I plead you to forgiven me too if I knowningly or unknowingly have  stepped on your toes, she appealed.
In addition, Naa Momo said “…..nobody should fight anyone, because the NDC is one family, especially now that the party is focused to win elections 2020 where everybody would be needed to prosecute the winning agenda”, Naa Momo stressed.
Naa Momo Lartey who is aspiring for NDC Parliamentary Candidature, charged Ghanaian women to pray for Ghana, especially,  the preparation towards elections 2020; due to the kind of violence in Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election described as dressed rehearsals ahead of 2020 elections.
The celebration indicated that the ruling NPP are planning to plunge Ghana into a civil war if they would not win the elections 2020.
In an interview with the republicnewsonline.com.gh one of the women dho spoke on condition of an anonymity said is high time for more of the qualified woman like Naa Momo of the NDC be allowed to represent Krowor Constituency in parliament this time around and not anybody at all.
She indicated that Krowor needs  Naa Momo because she is well qualified, she is a mother with human feeling for all in spite of ones political affiliation and she is the best bet for the NDC in the area in the 2020 elections.
She pleaded with the people of Krowor Constituency to give Naa Momo Lartey the nod this time to represent them in Parliament in 2021 for real unity in the constituency.
