Ghana parliament has made a massive shake-up in the leadership of some Select Committees to improve work.
The reshuffled affected both the Majority and the Minority sides of the august House.
Minority Ranking Member on Health Committee and MP for Wa West, Joseph Yiele Chireh, and the Chairman of the Subsidiary Legislation Committee and MP for Bawku Central, Mahama Ayariga, have both been booted out as a result of the shake-up.
Mr Yieleh Chireh, who is a member of the Pan-African Parliament, has been replaced with Juaboso MP, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, as the Ranking Member of the Health Committee.
Mr. Ayariga, who serves in the ECOWAS Parliament, has been replaced by a former Deputy Attorney General, Dr Dominic Ayine.
On the Majority side, Manhyia North MP, Collins Owusu Amankwah replaces Yaw Frimpong Addo as the Chairman of the Government Assurances Committee.
The absence of these MPs is negatively affecting their work as the Chairmen and Ranking on their respective Committees.
The Composition of the Committee which report is yet to be adopted by the house also have some members promoted.
Dr Clement Apaak, MP for Builsa South has been promoted from a floor member on Foreign Affairs Committee to a Deputy Ranking on Education.
Emmanuel Armah Kofi BUAH,has replaced Fiifi Kwetey as Ranking on Trade and Industry Committee.
Speaker of parliament, Professor Aaron Mike Oquaye is the Chairman of the Committee of Selection on the re-composition of committees of the House.
