A lecturer at the Maritime University, Nii Kpakpo Addo has expressed his interest in the Krowor Constituency parliamentary seat on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress ( NDC).
According to, Nii Kpakpo, the youth of Krowor need a ‘fresh blooded’ young man to lead them in the next enteral election to take back the parliamentary seat from the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
In an interview with THE REPUBLIC, the University Lecturer said, Krowor needs someone who could inspire the youth, because such inspiration alluded them for years; “so a youthful person like me is needed to lead Krowor and serve as inspiration to the desperate youth.”
He noted that as a young person, he knows what the youth go through, and he wants to come to empower them so they could at least make a meaningful living.
Nii Kpakpo also said he is coming with reforms that would help shape the constituency’s political discourse, adding that it would help the party grassroots to properly engage in the political activities that would catapult the NDC.
The Lecturer further said that if given the nod as the next Krowor Member of Parliament (MP), he would make the grassroots feel of belonging through acceptable discourse so that the people would love to come out to help the NDC.
“When we are youth we should be able to tackle the grassroots, ginger and to make them so functional”, he advised.
The Maritime University lecturer said he wants to create and nurture Tertiary Institution Network (TEIN) in the Leweh University College in Nungua and merge them with that of Maritime University and to link them up to the Regional and National levels.
He added that, when the TEINs are to operate in Krowor for the NDC, they would be too strong for the NPP to contend with.
Nii Kpakpo Addo also indicated that he believes in competition because where people’s capacity amongst other things come up, it helps to enrich the political discourse which also shows that the party has capable men and women.
The Heaven Bridge ‘A’ branch chairman reiterated that he has the capability to lead Krowor in next parliament following his experience, having risen through the ranks and life experience as a young man with the downtrodden; if the party chooses him in the soonest parliamentary primaries.
