Work hard to return NDC to power, MP urges Binduri constituents

Dr Robert Baba Kuganq-Lem, Member of Parliament for Binduri has charged members of the party, especially constituency executives to work hard in the lead up to the 2020 general elections to ensure a resounding victory for NDC.

According to him currently, the NDC is the alternative party to rescue Ghanaians from the hardship imposed by the NPP, but cautioned that, that would materialised if party executives close ranks and persue a victory agenda.

Dr Kuganqb-lem gave the advise when he organised end of year party for the branch and constituency executives at Binduri in the Upper East Region, over the weekend.

While expressing his thankful to the party executives for the work done so far, the MP asked them not to lose hope but continue to preach the achievement of NDC party in the constituency.

He further  advised the leadership and members of NDC not to focus excessive attention on the challenges the NPP face in implementing its promises, but rather concentrate on reorganizing the party at the grassroots level.

The Binduri lawmaker who is the Deputy Ranking member on Health Committed of Parliament noted that, it was a common knowledge to every Ghanaian that , the Nana Akufo Addo government has failed to deliver, adding that, the poor implementation of the free senior high school, 1D1F and one dam one village in which Bindui was yet to see any single factory nor a dam, was evidence enough for Ghanaians to vote them out.

Monday January 7, marked exactly two years that septuagenarian ,  Nana Akufo Addo of the NPP, took over governance of the country from  President John Mahama.

Though many thought the NDC could have won the. 2016  elections, judging from the performance of the government in provision of infrastructures from education, health, roads, and other social interventions policies, Ghanaians were hoodwinked by sweetheart promises by the NPP.

Before the 2016 elections, the NPP had succeeded in tagging then President John Mahama and his appointees as corrupt and play that card consistently and was able to captured and polluted the minds of many electorates, especially the youth and first time voters.

Many of the allegation the NPP labelled against the NDC and president Mahama, were not true but they were consistent and also tagged the team as incompetent and played that card to the last day.

However, within the two year of Akufo Addo and his appointees after the table turned, there was no week if not day passed without any form of allegation of corruption against his government and appointees.

This, Dr Kuganab-lem, charged his constituency executives not to rest on their oars, but rather remobilise the grassroots base of the party within the constituency and drum home the achievement of NDC and what it could do when giving power again.

In his his view, Ghanaians are dissenting and would soon know the true difference between the NDC and the NPP when it come to good governance, pointing out that, NPP is the only political party that have appetite for deceptive politics in the country.

He further expressed the conviction that, NDC would reclaim power come 2020 elections, but cautioned that the party should not underrate the NPP with negative propaganda and work hard to reorganise the grassroots members.

The End of Year party was attended by some MPs including MP for Chiana/Paga, Hon Rudolf Nsorwinne Amena-Etego, Hon Albert Akuka Alalzuuga, MP for GARU, the Regional Women’s Organizer, Madam Rahinatu Haruna, alias Hajia Charity as well as other prominent leaders of the party.
