Renowned Human Rights Lawyer Francis-Xavier Sosu has called on the youth of Ghana to rise and redefine Ghana future.
According tohim, to be an agent of positive change, the Youth must first recognize that they are part of a whole community which requires that their contribution to change.
Mr Sosu made the call at the 2018 Youth Impact submit at Mafi-Kumasi in the Central Tongu District of Volta Region last Saturday.
Speaking on the theme: “Inspiring and Empowering the Youth to to champion Positive Change, Social Accountability and Sustainable development,” the Human Rights Lawyer charged the youth to change their minds in order to change their future.
“Your father maybe poor. Your mother may be poor but you are not poor.t Though you may be coming for a deprived community you have the power to change your destiny and future,”Mr Sosu told the enthusiastic youth of Mafi.
This, he asked the Youth to shake off all trials and rise up to redefine their own future as well as the future of their communities and country.
Dr. Henry Xorsenyo kpeli, of International Health and Development Network Mission Hospital also took turn and educated the youth about the importance of Education and the need to acquire skills to sharpen their future.
He encouraged that every person requires education and training but it must not necessarily end formal, stressing that, “Even if you want to be a carpenter, a mason or any other artisan you will require education.”
The Youth Impact Summit was organized by Hon Julius Karl D. Fievi, Assembly Member of Mafi Zongo Electoral Area in partnership with Youth For Human Rights Africa (YoHRA) with support from GADI Ghana, Treasure Of Life Foundation, Dela Radio, Kuul 103.5 fm.
Other speakers advised the youth against abusive of internet and social media and urged the youth to rather make good use of the opportunity in their general.
