The Madina constituency youth wing of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has inaugurated its Youth Working Committee as part of warming up exercises towards general elections in 2020.
The Youth Working Committee would among of other things coordinate the Party activities at the grassroots level for the party to reclaim the parliamentary seat and maximize the presidential votes.
The 30 member committee are made up of branch youth organizers of the party in the constituency.
In his inaugural speech the NDC Greater Accra regional Youth Organiser,Thomas Mustapha Ashong charged them to close their ranks and forge ahead
He urged them to work hard to recapture the Madina seat in 2020 general elections
The Madina Constituency Youth Organiser, Charles Kojo Mortey, told the charged the youth working committee to collaborate with each other to enable the party recapture power to ameliorate the suffering of Ghanaians
He said the Youth would not tolerate the act of alienation of the Youth by any future Member of Parliament after gaining power.
The regional Vice Chairman Ibrahim Jaja admonished the Madina NDC youth to intensify with campaign in ensuring that more youth get registered in the upcoming limited registration of the Electoral Commission (EC).
He said, with hard work and vigilance at the polls, NDC would win and charged them to go extra mile and intensify their membership drive to get more people to join the party.
Dignitaries at the event include Constituency Chairman Alhaji Abdul Rahman,aka Alhaji Survival, Lawyer Francis Xavier Sosu, the Human Rights Legal brain, the regional Secretary, Hon Theophilous Tetteh Chai, Alhaji Armiyawu Abdul-Rahim, a leading member of the party, Alhaji Faila, Regional Deputy Organizer, Mr Gambo, among leading members from the constituency.
Some of the dignitaries took turns to address the youth and charged them to work hard to return the arty back to power.
Mr Chai asked the constituency Chairman to take full control of the party in the constituency and ensure all activities and actions of members, especially those expressing interest for parliamentary candidate are in conformity with the party rules.
