Hon. Helen Adjoa Ntoso, Member of Parliament for Krachi West, has responded swiftly to Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah, General Overseer of the Glorious Word Power Ministry, describing him as the number one demon in Ghana.
According to the Krachi West lawmaker who is also the immediate former Volta Regional Minister, the allegations made by Rev. Bempah that a known political person has unleashed demons to manipulate the economy of Ghana, hence the prevailing economic hardship in the country, made him rather the most known demon among the four demons he claimed to have been imported.
Rev. Bempah in an interview with an Accra based private radio station, Rainbow Radio, claimed; “the person who imported the evil spirits in question has intentions of ascending into a high office he once occupied but lost after the people of Ghana overwhelmingly voted him out(reference to John Mahama)”.
However, speaking to some Journalists on the matter at parliament in Accra last Wednesday, Hon. Ntoso who is also a Revered Minister with Mount Horeb Victorious Church International said, the allegation which is indirectly targeted at former President John Mahama, was not only uncalled for but non-Christian.
Citing several biblical quotations to buttress her point, the MP said, Jesus has given Christians the authority to go out and preach the Good News of God’s word and deliver people from spiritual attack and that if indeed Mr. Bempah is a true Prophet from God, then he should use his prophetic powers to deliver Ghanaians from the economic hardship.
The Holy Bible quoted Jesus telling His followers; “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover”. (Mark 16:15-18)
This, Hon. Ntoso again referred Rev. Bempah to the Bible where Jesus spoke to the Disciples , saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen.” (Matthew 28:18-20)
She added that, holy men of old like Joseph, Daniel and Jesus Himself demonstrated their righteousness when they were confronted with trials and persecutions and challenged Owusu Bempah, to exhibit his righteousness and cast out the demons if indeed he is a man of God.
“If Rev. Owusu Bempah says there are four evil spirits or demons imported into the country by the previous government to cause economy hardship in country, and his claims as a Prophet yet cannot drive the demons away, then he is one of them”, Hon. Ntoso said.
“I am saying that, Rev. Owusu Bempah is the “number one” of the four demons, if not he should be able to cast them out as a righteous man of God, he should deliver us from these four demons,” she emphasized.
Hon. Ntoso said a righteous man without blemish, should be able to deliver, heal and cast out evil spirit, adding that if Owusu Bempah is a righteous man then he must be bold and face the demons and drive them out. Ghanaians want to be delivered from this current hardship.
“I challenge him to use his prophetic powers to cast out the demons in Ghana, you can’t live with a demon if you are not one of them”, Helen Ntoso stressed.
The former Regional Minister said, Mr Bempah is not a true prophet from God but one of those charlatans that have been described in the Bible as false prophets.
She quoted Ezekiel 13:2-4 which states, “Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel who are now prophesying. Say to those who prophesy out of their own imagination: ‘Hear the word of the Lord. This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Woe to the foolish prophets who follow their own spirit and have seen nothing. Your prophets, Israel, are like jackals among ruins”, she quoted.
The book of Jeremiah 23: 116-17, also states, “This is what the Lord of Hosts says: “Do not listen to the words of the prophets who prophesy to you. They are making you worthless. They speak visions from their own minds, not from the Lord’s mouth. They keep on saying to those who despise Me, ‘The Lord has said: You will have peace”. They have said to everyone who follows the stubbornness of his heart, ‘No harm will come to you.”
To this effect, the law maker admonished the self acclaimed prophet who have been on air making unsubstantiated statements to let his words be guarded by God as his actions and utterance sought to raid down Christianity and dammed the powers of true believers of God.
She further advised him to join politics so Ghanaians would know his stance and stop hiding behind the pulpit to denigrate other people’s reputation.
