National Democratic Congress ( NDC) Deputy Organizer aspirant, Agbesi Nutsu, has said that the party needs to elect someone with grassroots experience and credibility as its Deputy National Organize if it must win the 2020 general elections.
According to him, the 2020 election is not going to be a walk over for the party and that more experienced person who has credibility with track record of grassroots organisation like him are needed.
The Deputy National Organize hopeful said this in an interview with THE REPUBLIC after he was vetted and cleared by the party to contest the national deputy organizer post in Accra , Saturday September 22.
Agbesi said he was eminently qualified to be elected as national Deputy Organizer of NDC to support the substantive Organize to recapture power from the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
He stressed that NDC needs not only an experienced and a well tactical person but also a bridge builder who would mobilize the grassroots for the party.
“There is no army Commander with a tank, I rise through the meal and I have work hard for the party. The 2020 is not going to be easy, we need experience people to work for the party, ” Agbesi said.
He told the paper if given the nod to become deputy organizer, the issues of restructuring and grassroots mobilization would be his focal points to ensure victory for the party.
Mr Agbesi who described himself as the grassroots man maintained that, he has what it take to win power for the party, stating, “I have the chance to win because, I have the experience enough to help us we power.”
He added that he is going to work hard for the party to recapture power come 2020 and urged delegates to endorse him at the national congress on November 3, this year.
