I’ve got what it takes to lead NDC to victory– Seth Ofori

A Vice Chairmanship aspirant of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Seth Ohene Ofori, has declared that he has got what it takes to lead the NDC to victory in 2020 , if he emerges the national Vice Chairman at the November 3, national delegates congress of the party.

According to him, his experience is needed for the biggest opposition party t o recapture power from Akufo Addo non performing government.

” I am in this race, because I believed I have what it takes to lead NDC to victory, particularly in these critical moments,” he stated.

Speaking to Journalists on why he is in the race for the national vice chairmanship after filing his nomination forms last Wednesday, Mr Ofori said, he is in the race because he has a duty to ensure the party return to power.

The Political Strategist and Communications Specialist said, NDC at the moment need more experienced and hardworking members to reposition it for a victory at the 2020 general elections

Seth Ofori-Ohene has been around for a long while and have served the NDC diligently at the very highest level. He brings to the table rich experience in political party organisation.

He served as Deputy Director of communications of the NDC party, a position he acquired through recommendations by late Prof John Evans Atta Mills and John Mahama and later became the party Director of communications.

Seth is  a Professional political strategist, brand Journalist, communications specialist, Public finance analyst and strategic thinker.

He told the Press he  has the expertise, the know-how and the experience to bring everyone on board to solidify and cement the NDC’s presence on the ground and position the party as an unbeatable political machine capable of winning every election in the present day political environment.

When the party was in opposition struggling between 2001 – 2008, Seth Ofori-Ohene was at the forefront of NDC articulating the party politics and defending the then Presidential candidate John Mills and his vice John Mahama.

He also served as Press Secretary to Prof Kwesi Botchwey in the 2002 presidential primaries and was subsequently appointed as Press Secretary to Candidate Mills, where he led the Media campaign for the 2004 General elections.

“I have work in the party into two major elections that we won the 2008 elections. The 2016 elections cannot be an indictment on us as a party with people at heart. I will work to ensure we come back to power” he added.

Mr Ofori recounted his contribution to the party and called on the delegates to elect persons of competence that could help the agenda of the party.

He stressed that with his accumulated experience and expertise, he was best placed to help to re-organise the party ahead of the 2020 general elections.

Mr Ofori is in the race for the National Vice Chairmanship with former Ambassador to Egypt, Alhaji Said Sinare, former Member of Parliament for Madina, Alhaji Amadu Sorogo, Dr Kwame Ampofo and Chief Sofo Azoka former Northern Regional Chairman.

Seth Ofori-Ohene, 46, hails from Akuapem Larteh in the Akropong constituency of the Eastern Region.

He has been NDC member for years and contributed tremediously to the growth of the Party.
