Filmmakers call for tax incentives to revive business

Local filmmakers have called on government to grant them some tax incentives to help save the industry.

Director at Farmhouse Productions Ltd., Ivan Quashigah, who spoke to Joy Business believes this will go a long way to resuscitate the industry.

He disclosed that the high cost of movie exhibition and importation of equipment is the reason many producers are pulling out of the industry.

“Government has to show some interest; for instance, if we are importing film equipment we could have some kind of rebates.
